Terms
Last updated: August 8, 2026
CrumpIT (ABN 65 588 251 132) (“CrumpIT”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an information technology services business based in Orange, New South Wales, Australia. We provide computer repairs and upgrades, custom PC builds, networking, cyber security, business IT support, web development and design, app development, AI setup, digital marketing, graphic and motion design, software support, remote support, and an online store.
These terms apply to your use of our website and to the products and services we supply. By using our website, requesting a quote, booking a service or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Quotes and estimates
- Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise. Component prices and availability are set by our suppliers and can change; if a quoted part rises in price or becomes unavailable before you accept, we will contact you with options before proceeding.
- Estimates for repair work are our genuine assessment, not a fixed price. If diagnosis reveals additional work, we will seek your approval before continuing.
Payment
- Custom PC builds and special-order parts require payment (or an agreed deposit) before parts are ordered.
- Invoices are payable by the due date shown. We may withhold delivery of goods or completed work until payment is received.
- Goods remain our property until paid for in full.
Repairs and service work
- Back up your data. Repairs, upgrades and diagnostics carry an inherent risk of data loss. Unless you have specifically engaged us to back up your data first, you are responsible for backing up your device before service, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss of data, software or settings arising from service work. See our Data Protection Policy for how we handle data on your device.
- Repair timeframes are estimates and depend on parts availability and fault complexity.
- Where we quote data recovery, recovery is not guaranteed — media can be damaged beyond recovery. Fees for attempted recovery may still apply where agreed in advance.
- Uncollected equipment: we will tell you when your equipment is ready. If equipment is not collected within 90 days of that notice, and after reasonable further attempts to contact you, we may deal with it under the Uncollected Goods Act 1995 (NSW), which can include selling or disposing of it to recover our costs.
Custom PC builds
- Component prices in the builder are indicative until your order is confirmed and paid, as supplier pricing changes frequently.
- If a component becomes unavailable, we will offer a substitute of equal or better specification, or a revised price, for your approval before building.
- Every build is assembled, cable-managed and stress-tested before handover, and our assembly workmanship is covered as described under Warranties below. Individual components carry their manufacturers’ warranties.
Products, returns and warranties
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with a service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion.
- Manufacturer warranties apply in addition to (not instead of) your ACL rights. We will assist with manufacturer warranty claims for products we supply.
- Our repair and build workmanship is warranted for 90 days. This covers the work we performed; it does not cover unrelated faults, subsequent damage, misuse or software issues introduced after the work.
- Change-of-mind returns of stocked, unopened goods may be accepted at our discretion within 14 days; special-order and custom-built items cannot be returned for change of mind.
- Proof of purchase is required for all returns and warranty claims.
Web, hosting and digital services
- Website, app, marketing and design work is scoped in writing per project. Revisions beyond the agreed scope may be charged at our standard rates, quoted before we proceed.
- You are responsible for the content you supply and warrant that it does not infringe any third party’s rights. You retain ownership of your content; on full payment, you own the delivered work product, excluding third-party components which remain under their own licences.
- Hosting, domain names and third-party subscriptions renew per their providers’ terms, and their fees may change. Lapsed renewals can result in loss of the domain or hosted data; we will pass on renewal notices but the decision to renew is yours.
- We may perform scheduled maintenance on hosted services; we aim for minimal disruption.
Website use
You may not misuse this website — including attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, or using its content to build a competing catalogue. Site content (text, images, branding and code) belongs to CrumpIT or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. Product images and specifications are provided in good faith; minor variations can occur, and errors will be corrected when found.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject always to your ACL rights, our liability for any claim arising from goods or services we supply is limited, at our option, to resupplying the goods or services or paying the cost of resupply, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as loss of profits, business or data.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page applies to new orders and engagements from its last-updated date.
