Thirty years in the earthmoving game

From one Bobcat and a small tip truck to D10 dozers working mines across Australia.

The Bevan story

Cabsand was founded by Laurie and Ellen Bevan and has been part of the earthmoving industry, in both sales and rental, for over 30 years. What started with small civil jobs for local builders slowly grew into heavy earthmoving and mining equipment.

Today the business sources low-hour heavy equipment, puts it through its own workshop, and supplies reliable, efficient machines at honest prices. The hire fleet works in mines and sand quarries around Australia.

I have been in the earthmoving game for over 30 years. I started out with one Bobcat and a small tip truck, and from there my business has grown to what it is today.

The fleet and the yard

Our machinery ranges from Bobcats, loaders, graders and water carts up to D6, D8, D9, D10 and D11 dozers. Machines are sourced carefully, often low-hour gear from offshore, then serviced and fitted out for Australian mine and quarry work.

  • Every machine through our own workshop before it works
  • Service history kept and shared with buyers
  • Mine-spec fit-outs: isolators, e-stops, handrails, camera systems
  • Our own service utes support hire gear in the field
