How a commission works

Some clients own a Beale that has been in the family for generations. Others want us to find one. Either way it begins with a conversation about the room the piece will live in, the music it will play and the object it should become.

  1. Conversation

    Call or write. We talk through the instrument you have or want, the setting and your ambitions for the piece.

  2. Concept and sourcing

    We present a named concept with finishes and materials. If you do not own a Beale, we source one that suits the design.

  3. Build and delivery

    Restoration, cabinet work, finishing and tuning, then documentation and delivery. Timelines and terms are agreed in writing before work begins.
